👑🍺  Our annually brewed Princess Oktoberfest returns Thursday, August 27!  This traditional Märzen-style lager is named for Princess Elizabeth, namesake of the river that flows through our region. Crisp and copper-colored, The Princess brings together caramel-toffee sweetness, toasted malt, and low bitterness for a perfectly smooth taste of Oktoberfest season.  🥨 Best enjoyed with a soft pretzel, whole-grain mustard. 🇩🇪  And here’s something else worth raising a glass to: a portion of every Princess sold is donated to @elizabethriverproject, our local nonprofit working to restore the 757’s home river. 💙🌊

Join us on Saturday, August 29, to hear Glenn Yoder, who has toured with some cool bands including the Old 97s, Kings of Leon, Dr Dog, and the Allman Brothers.  New-ish to Virginia Beach we are thrilled to have him entertain us.  5-8pm.  All ages welcome.

Better late than never. Running Late is a lush, tropical Hazy IPA built around Superdelic, a newer hop variety from New Zealand. Nelson Sauvin and Strata bring notes of mango, white grape, strawberry and melon, while Citra and a generous Superdelic dry hop pile on bright citrus and tropical fruit. A Maris Otter base with loads of malted and flaked oats gives Running Late a full body and supremely creamy mouthfeel. The can art, designed by local artist Dwight Easter, features hands passing a beer baton—because sometimes you’re not late, you’re just on the next leg. 🏃🍺 6.9% ABV

We’re celebrating the release of Running Late Hazy IPA with an art show featuring the local artist behind the can!  Join us Friday, September 4 from 5–7pm to meet Dwight Easter, a digital artist whose work captures local landmarks, pop culture, and the everyday happenings that make Hampton Roads home.  Dwight has now created two can labels for Smartmouth, including the artwork for Running Late, featuring hands passing a beer baton. 🏃🍺
